Early morning on September 30th, Winemaker Adam Sbragia visited vineyards out in Sonoma Valley to test the fruit in preparation for the 2019 Harvest. The Monte Rosso Vineyard — the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard that the family has sourced from on Moon Mountain for over a decade — changed ownership and is no longer available to Sbragia. Luckily, there are some beautiful vineyards in this Central Sonoma Valley AVA. This is the first year we are sourcing fruit from the Wildwood Vineyard. Along with the Wildwood Vineyard, Adam tested Petite Verdot fruit from the Cavedale Vineyard. This small lot is an important one, as all Cabernet Sauvignon wines have a 1% addition of Petite Verdot.
